In the Blue Again, After the Money's gone
I went all Abstract tonight, not deliberately, my camera was set on Manual, from whence I last took a photo of the moon.
I spotted the Christmas Lights still up and Still burning and I thought, I'll take that. And I love how it looks. I probably won't be able to recreate that for as long as I live.
I went to the library, it's open again. Joy. Much Joy.
I had a book to collect.
The girl in front of me had 7 books to collect. Not bedtime reading, they were all mighty tomes; the kind I avoid so that I don't break my nose in bed.
She was obviously also missing conversation; despite me standing, obviously waiting for attention she continued her disjointed chat which ranged from the characters in her books, her favorite books, Mexico, Portugal, The Jesus in Rio, Ballerina, a fantastic film on Netflix (the librarian let slip she had watched with her Children), Harry Potter, J K Rowling, Transgender issues, and chocolate.
The librarian very kindly gave her a bag to put all her hard backed books in and said "Happy reading"
When The Librarian pulled my book from the counter, she noted that she also loved Fredrick Backman. I said "Have you read "Britte Marie was here? " " Oh yes", I told her I cried for fifteen minutes after i finished. She looked at me as if I was mad. I said, "Did you enjoy "A Man Named Ove?"
And she looked at me again, and said "You say "Ov-e". I say "Ov".
A Man Named Ov....
It's Swedish, surely it would be Oooove (with an acute) ?
Any Pronunciators out there?
