Flint

Apparently it is a form of mineral quartz. This is a lump at…..Quarts Moor (!) where we were after our tip trip. The Blackdowns are well known for flint and many of the properties are constructed from it.

As everyone knows it was also used extensively for making tools in the stone age. In my past professional life many property owners were advised to have a chemical damp course inserted to cure damp.

Totally useless as flint is impervious and thus those who went down this route wasted a lot of money! I could go on and get very boring but won’t….
