This house high up in the Druidale Valley is called Montpelier.  I have always been slightly puzzled by the  continental name for a Manx house which is really quite isolated up in the hills.

It is also now called a "Tholtan" which is the Manx expression for an abandoned house.  I can just about remember the house with a roof on it but that is now long gone.  The dark walls look as if someone has been shooting at them, but this is an entirely natural growth and is perhaps an indication of the pure Manx air.....
