Sculptureum
We had a lovely day out today. We travelled just over an hour north of Auckland to the Matakana area, where we visited Sculptureum, a destination designed to “unlock the imagination, fuel creativity, and ignite the mind”. The hundreds of works on display have been chosen to amuse, stimulate, and inspire. (https://www.sculptureum.nz/the-experience). It was absolutely wonderful, so many interesting pieces of art in beautifully laid out gardens, a real sensory experience.
We nipped down the road for lunch in the café at the Morris and James Pottery, where we also bought two beautiful pots, then popped back to Sculptureum to view the indoor galleries and Pink Snail Garden. A wonderful day.
The blip and extras show various shots from today’s excursion.
