Toutouwai (South Island Robin) again

Yay, I actually had my camera on me when this young toutouwai (SI Robin) visited my camp site today.

It is so nice to be in a place with lots of native birdlife.  I have missed our native birds while3 living in South Canterbury where there are so few of the bush birds.

Today I've seen tui, robin, kereru, weka, fantails (a family of mum and babies), waxeyes, kahu, and many introduced birds too.  It had been a real feast - I didn't want to move from my spot in case I missed some!

I have added into extras an image of a different robin about to fly - sadly I missed the actual flight.
