Afternoon Tea

Jasper has gone for a weeks holiday with his dog sitter so we made the most of being dog less this weekend.

Breakfast and dinner out yesterday.

Today we visited Ampleforth Abbey. After a four mile walk we went to the tea shop and treated ourselves to afternoon tea. We'd heard how good it was from my mum who doesn't often give out complements so we thought it worth a try.

We both agreed it was the best afternoon tea we'd had and at £19 for two was really good value given the quantities and quality.

Personal favourite the Ampleforth Abbey apple cake made with their own apples and cider.

Having discovered that they have a courtyard where you can eat with your dog in tow I'm sure it won't be the last time we visit.
