Another sign of spring

Lots of wheatears around on the local fells, together with skylarks and meadow pipits. A day of hazy sunshine, light winds and it felt much warmer than of late.

The ground is very dry, ideal for walking, but the pastures are brown and just not growing. They really do need some Lakeland rain, which I'm sure will come before too long.
