PASSING BY

I met a friend today for coffee and a walk along the sea front, which made a really nice change.

I also found a place to take my watch for repair after the glass fell off the face of it a couple of weeks ago. B said I should get a new watch, but I like the appearance of mine and the closest match I could find was a few hundred pounds, which even allowing for inflation is an awful lot more than the £35 or so that mine cost about 25 years ago. I wasn't really considering getting a new one, but needed to show that it was a lot more sensible to get it mended than replaced.
