A Fishy Dish

The Merry Widows and I had lunch today at Andaluz on George IV Bridge.
My blip shows a half consumed plate of mussels enjoyed by one of our number. I blipped it because it reminded me of my very first fuzzy blip back in July 2009.

I had calamari, black pudding with apple sauce and ‘potatas brava’, all accompanied by craft cider. There is certainly nothing wrong with our appetites even if we are troubled by the odd creaking bone or the forgotten words which stay determinedly on the tips of our tongues.

I rolled home to await one of my book group coming to borrow my copy of the next book group choice- ‘Piranesi’. I so disliked it that she has been persuaded not to bother purchasing her own copy. It is possible of course that she will like the science fiction involved and I will be the odd woman out among the six of us when we next gather. I don’t suppose that will be the last time.
