Catkins

Had a lovely relaxing day, watching the birds (and cats), going for a longish walk with my sister and, this evening, visiting my niece and family. When I last saw the children they were (great-nephew) twelve and (great niece) nine; now they are 14 and (next month) 12 respectively. It's a long time to have gone without seeing them. Last time they were still 'little' children; they're now maturing into lovely young people, both at secondary school. 

I had a go in a virtual reality headset that one of them had for Christmas - it was amazing - and hilarious for those not inside the virtual landscape. I saw their recent artwork (wonderful), ballet moves (for an approaching exam), and so on. It was great to catch up.
