Carolina House

One of the things I love about urban living is the contrasts. Within three hundred yards of my house as the crow flies (I know, I have measured it), there are streets of million+ pound houses, green squares, two churches, several businesses, shops, a coffee bar, an Indian takeaway, a dentist's office, three pubs, part of a hospital, a posh restaurant, and this tower block.


If you saw The Outlaws a few months back you may recognise this building, as it (or perhaps one of its sisters up the road) appeared in the series as the dwelling of the scary drug-dealers. In fact, this building -- whilst certainly not beautiful -- is much less grotty and scary than they made it appear.
