Peacock in Central Scotland.

We spotted this exotic critter along the canal this afternoon. One of the old lock-keepers cottages now forms part of a small farm and there are assorted ducks and chickens as well as this colourful fellow. I have yet to see Mrs Peahen but, as she is usually on the drab side, that may account for it.
The famous tail is looking a bit tatty but that may not be much of a concern as there cannot be much competition for a mate round our way.
We went to visit MaggieD's Mum this morning, took her shopping then out for lunch. Back home, I decided to give the back fence and the paintbrush a rest as it was a bit too chilly at the back door.
Will it be warmer tomorrow? We shall see.
