After the hiccup on Friday, we managed a meeting with the Irish lawyer in Waterford this morning, and she seemed very competent. We then drove towards Rosslare, and stopped for a long lunch break at a hotel restaurant en route. Despite taking lots of time over this, we were very early at the ferry port; first in the queue for check in by a long way. We sat in the car and played computer games.
The sailing was much underfilled.
After the "entertainment" inflicted on us on 13th November last year we lashed out on seats in the Hygge lounge (£8 each) for the crossings this time. Quiet and comfortable on the way over to Ireland. When we got on board this time to come back to England, we discovered that so few people had booked the Hygge lounge that they were not opening it, and instead gave us a free upgrade to Stenaplus (would have cost us something like £22 each). Free hot drinks, snacks and wine! And very quiet, with decent comfortable seats.
