Nearly ready for spring

Today I decided to continue my TT plant blips with this month's theme of hope.  Even at only 1cm long, these magnolia buds with their silky calices always surely make us think of spring.  And, in my garden anyway, magnolia stellata is the first shrub to unfold its (rather rumpled) petals.  Just beautiful!

I've also spent time today cleaning, paying bills and staring out of the window at the horrible cold greyness.  Such a thrill!
