Newish shoes

I like the stitching and the texture of the material on these shoes. That and the fact I desperately needed something to blip.
We went babysitting last Wednesday (several baby back blips posted) and returned home on Saturday evening. 
When we got in we found the heating had not been working for some time, mainly due to us running out of oil. Foolish error on my part. The house was cold and, even with the log burners working, remains so. The oil will be delivered tomorrow and the boiler man will be with us shortly after to correct all the problems that will have happened as a result of fuel starvation.
Still on Saturday evening we found the dishwasher had an error light, an expensive one. As the warranty had expired we had to balance the repair cost against the replacement cost. Today we went out and bought a new machine, coming Saturday.
Finally and still on Saturday evening I found the battery on my laptop is kaput. It works well if still connected to the mains, dies within minutes of disconnection. Irritating but I can live with it, actually I have no choice as the first two items on this list take priority in the finance department.
Other that that everything is good and tomorrow night I will be warm again.
