Aloe vera

Another grey, cold day. I visited Judy and she gave me one of her aloe vera plants in a nice Ikea pot.
Earlier I talked with Josiane and we read four poems, including the fragment ‘Oh Western Wind,’ followed by Kipling’s ‘Harp Song of the Dane Women,’ which follows on well if you interpret the first as the words of a homesick soldier. Kipling is not a favourite of mine, but I do like this poem.
Josiane’s theatre workshop is starting up again and she’s excited about that.
D had a zoom visit with Simon with the usual full discussion of British politics.
