Garlic

Two hours on the allotment, two hours in the garden, two loads of washing. Not that the washing takes that much effort but it sounds good.

I hadn't intended to spend that long in either place but I have new allotment neighbours who are putting me to shame (they are very nice people, just more enthusiastic than me)  so I had to get on top of some of the chaos. Luckily the raised beds were dry enough to get most of the big weeks out of.

My garden stint was supposed to be a bit of pruning of one of the remaining apple trees but turned into an attack on the three-cornered garlic/leek (depending where you are) infestation. And then I knocked the compost bin over so had to empty and turn that. I did remember to prune the tree though, eventually.

It's been a good couple of days off, even if I do have a lot to do for the rest of this week. I have another days leave on Friday (my holiday year ends on Saturday, can you tell?) when I will hopefully be getting my hair cut as my hairdresser doesn't work Mondays..

Pasta for tea. With a lot of the said three corned garlic in the sauce.
