Pruning

It's time to give the garden trees a haircut, this is the before photograph. 

Before Joe comes and takes out an overhanging alder trunk which threatens the greenhouse and trims the fruit trees.

The garden is still boggy even though we've had no substantial precipitation for weeks, but it has to be done now before the buds start to break.

The weather is grey and bleak and the thought of outside work doesn't thrill me, so I'm glad someone else is being paid to wield the chainsaw.
