Grey Heron

When I went up to the loch this morning there was no sign of the young one. I popped back up after lunch but she was nowhere to be seen. I wondered round the loch with no sighting. I had a last look and was just about to make for the exit when I saw her circle me at head height and she landed on the old drainage access. I went over to give her some fish. I don't think She was really hungry but she had a few bits. She hung about for a while then when the black-headed gulls got too noisy she flew over to a tree.
I think that something or someone must have frightened her. Lets hope she is there tomorrow.
