Diary of an Edinburgher

Visitors

I used JR’s bus pass today again to go along to Braidburn Valley Park. We were meeting Pip and his mum and dad to go for a walk - they haven’t been there, being fairly new to Edinburgh.

Actually, JR walked to the park with them, via Bruntsfield and Morningside. I met them there, and walked back - not that I had intended to, but the buses on Sundays are less convenient. So it was a very long way, and I was (am) absolutely stuffed. (8,339 steps!!) (JR 18, 218 steps…)

We popped in to the Canny Man’s on the way home. We always like to take visitors there, as it’s pretty unique. The waiter admired our ‘cute dogs’.

I was in a deep sleep resting my eyes this evening, when the doorbell went. Cue - Archie barking hysterically… It was the brand new neighbours, who just moved in today. A young couple from Devon. We had a nice chat, they liked Archie (once he’d stopped barking) and in fact, they’ve done a bit of doggie house sitting on the website we use. Hmmmm…

We get another box of make-at-home-meals delivered tomorrow. Exciting!
