A fun evening

We had such a good time last night. So good that this photo of Phil and Colin is actually today at some point after midnight. We were going to drive Linda and Colin home but she “fell asleep” on the sofa so they stayed the night. She said this afternoon that’s what she gets for having a dry January!

Mr C demolished the shed outside the back door as it has had its day and we needed to clear the way for Tom and Richard who are coming this week to lay slabs. After that they’ll tar the side path which has got very uneven with holes appearing. Mr C seems to think we’ll need to be prepared in case we need wheelchairs or mobility scooters at some point - our neighbours are getting their path done as he can’t get his scooter down easily.

I’ve been sorting out my recipe folders and thrown out lots I never use. Also I’ve got a pile I want to put into my next cook book, so I’ll need to cook them to take the photos.

#2 daughter is fed up. No sooner is Thomas able to return to school after Covid than James is positive. If only he’d got it earlier and been at home with Thomas. He’ll be off school all week. It won’t be easy for her as he’s an active boy who needs to be outside.
