No worries, awesome!

Sunday and we had a few options. After a discussion over a cup of tea we decided on a long walk (even though the weather was a bit grey). We have done this one before and it follows a NT path around Scotney Castle where there is an amazing rope swing. We both had a turn but I didn’t get very high. We made it back to the pub in time for our 2.00pm table. Slightly disappointed that the roast pork promised on the website was off the menu as we had been salivating at the thought of crackling and apple sauce as we walked - however roast beef for OH and chicken for me was very tasty, washed down with a couple of glasses of wine. Dry January?!? I managed a week!

We were served by a lovely young chap, polite and attentive but we smiled at his continual use of ‘no worries, awesome’. The meal was tasty and well cooked but ‘awesome’ ….. the pyramids, the Taj Mahal, St Paul’s cathedral are awesome not a piece of roast chicken!!
