This arrived in the post this morning, unexpected but very welcome. Around an hour later I received an e-mail enquiring if I was ok, had I received my new XXL HiVis waistcoat and was I ready for 2022. It’s great to be appreciated, not everyone does it.

Thursday Gang hours were cut short today as Sam was out in the afternoon and I walked Paddy. We walked the seafront today the plan is to stay away from the cemetery for a while for a change of scenery.

Three weeks into the year and I’m six books into my challenge the aim this year is to be more selective. It’s not that last years books were poor choices but that I’m looking for more variety. I am getting ready to start a book on the Cuban Missile Crisis but from the Russian perspective, should be interesting.
