Wheatear are back :)

Wheatear are back on the moors here, gorgeous little birds, one of my favourites! It's the first time I've been up on the path since the big snow....way too icy and huge drifts. The farmer has cleared all these now...some enormous piles of snow! Lovely to see and hear lapwing, curlew, snipe, meadow pipits, pied wagtails, ravens and my blip birdie!

This one was having a bit of a shake in the wind, it looks a bit thin...not surprising really...

Big moan, birds breed up there, the farmer has designated breeding land or whatever it's really called. There are many signs to say keep your dog on a lead...why do people just not bother?
