BAILEY’S ACACIA “purpurea”. AGAIN!

Yesterday I posted a Blip of this fast growing (20-30ft in 3years) drought resistant (full sun!) Australian native.

Today when Angus & I passed by, we noticed this small branch hanging over the fence. It illustrates how lovely the feathery leaves are, along with the yellow flower buds.

This tree is good down to 5-10F (12-15C), so it can tolerate a good frost, according to my research.

Am wondering why I don’t see it planted all over, if it is a great specimen tree. Sometimes the most beautiful plants can be invasive or unruly , or poisonous.

So, I am enjoying this ACACIA as I pass by….
