I'm always intrigued by these growths I often see on Silver Birch trees.  Apparently they are known as Witch's brooms and there's quite a lot of very interesting information about them online.  Walked Misty on the local moss reserve this morning which is where today's blip was taken.  With a few rain free days its definitely a lot less muddy!  Oh and the blue sky didn't last for long.
