Winter sunlight..

The figure in the blip is gentleman who takes his two rescue greyhounds for a walk along here. We stopped for a chat and the main topic was about a 77 year old dementia sufferer who disappeared earlier in the month and was found 4 days later and after a massive search  by lowland rescue, police and volunteers - in a hospital bed in London.
It seems we had both voiced the thought on the first day of the search "is it possible he got on a train to London?". It's very easy to board a train heading directly to London without purchasing a ticket at Downham Market. There would only be a problem when you reach the exit barriers at Kings Cross. Lo and behold, that's exactly what he'd done. Station staff at Kings Cross had found him walking about in a confused state. So while a massive search of streets and fields and rivers was going on he had been put up in a comfortable bed in a central London hospital. A bed that in these times could be put to much better use.
"Sometimes I think we could do better than all these guys who are supposed to be in charge" he said. I nodded.
