Red-Legged Partridge at Sunrise

I was awake this morning at 5.30 - not by choice but by a coughing fit from this lingering virus I've now had for four weeks or more.

However, the benefit of being awake so early on a beautiful still morning is that you see creatures and birds that you don't normally see at other times of day.

This beautiful red-legged partridge was posing very nicely on our garden wall as the sun was rising - it's the first one I've seen here and considering the shot was taken through the window, I think it turned out quite well.
