Time for a Big One

Finally the canvases I ordered arrived. So yesterday I began this 30 by 40 inch painting. I worked on it a couple of hours today as well. I’m not finished yet. The basis for the original design was the frozen waterfall with snow that I photographed around Christmas. Obviously this isn’t a snow scene, but the shapes and values began with one of the photos.

I had a doctor’s appointment today and the doctor and I were both pleased (and I was surprised) that I haven’t gained any weight since my last visit in July. And we both agreed that I am in good health. I’m going to get a couple of tests just to verify things are okay.
