Bodega Castañeda
Just one of the thousands of bars in the city of Granada where the price of a drink includes a substantial serving of food. A small beer at 1.50 euros will get you a plate of pork stew in a tomatoe sauce served with bread or a dish of sizzling prawns or maybe thin slices of jamon serrano and cheese. The choice is endless. Other more modern bars will give you a menu of free food with your drink where you can choose such delights as fajitas, dim sums or Thai kebabs. I heard there is one bar that even serves Yorkshire puddings. A night out with a good few drinks and more food than you can possibly eat can be had for around 10 - 15 euros. There's no other city in Europe like it. We tried a few of these bars during our stay. Not one of them disappointed.
