Happiness is being mooned by a Bald Eagle

After an easy day at work, I dropped down to the refuge for a wonderful walk. Besides seeing a dozen different types of ducks, many small birds, 2 herons, 7 bald eagles, the highlight was seeing a golden eagle - a first for me. 5 photographers with lenses three times longer than mine and 7 other people all concluded that is what it was. A really beautiful bird. In the extra is another Bald Eagle resting in the Nisqually River and a heron that was posing for everyone.

A really wonderful way to start the weekend...
