January Chill

I had to decamp from the house back to the flat in Deptford because my husband Gordon tested positive for Covid. It’s an easy way to isolate, but still a lonely experience, mitigated only by a walk along the Thames in the fading January light and an intense northerly windchill. We can’t get anything done until he recovers and find out if I’ve been infected too - a frustration but the slow road isn’t a bad one…
