Orchid

This is the orchid cattleya lobata which is endemic to Brazil. There was a neglected pot of it in the garden of the current house where we've been living for 27 years. The Resident Gardener revived it and then was able to divide it, and divide it, and divide it.... We've got many of them now and for something so pretty and delicate looking, they're as tough as old boots. They also have a long flowering season.

And look! Genuine drips! Must have rained (again).
