Off the Fence

Took R and her friend B to the zoo in San Francisco today. They have a seven-week old tiger cub. B's especially excited as she's never been to a zoo before. "Never?" I ask. "My mom doesn't like caged animals." "Ah, no... actually, neither do I."

The tiger cub was predictably cute.

The educational aspect of the zoo was well done.

They explained about breeding endangered species.

My head understands all that.
And yet, I look at this picture of the cub's dad and my heart says it's just not right. Yep, B's mom, you have a very good point.
