A funny flower

I helped a friend yesterday with something and she gave me a bunch of the most interesting flowers. In between packing and unpacking cupboards, I took some photos of these interestng flowers today. A very difficult task because I just could not get my focus and depth right! And it was a very intense red too!! Ps. I have no idea what it is called, so if anybody recognises it, do tell!
