Western Oregon Connection

This is Nichelle, a former student of mine at Central High School, and now manages the Western Oregon University bookstore. Nichelle helped us with some WOU Christmas gear for Elle. She said she wanted to read my book, so I delivered a copy for her today. She was happy. She told me that she loved my class. Her favorite memory, she said, was giving a speech, and I stopped her, and said, “Let’s start again, minus the gum.” She said, “You gave me another chance. I always liked that.”

It’s fun to catch up with kids who are not kids anymore, but can go back to when they were.
