Murmuration

This mini murmuration overflew us on our walk this afternoon. They are fascinating. Who decides to turn first? How come they don’t collide? They behave more like a shoal than a flock. They are mesmerising in their swift* movements. (I took this Blip using a tip from Blipper Tryfan46 who used video stills to capture high speed birds in flight.)

Our walk was also a quarantine morale boosting one as we handed over some treats, through the window, to our local Covid isolating family. They are bearing up well and hopefully free to return to society again on Monday.

This morning I caught up with an old friend on the phone and watched PMQ. I now think the PM will find a way to cling on to his job safe in the knowledge that he will be “marking his own homework” when the report into partygate is published by one of his senior Civil Servants.
