£180 for a Car Wash!

I took my Toyota Aygo for its annual service today.  I had to use a 'Main Dealer' to keep up the car's guarantee.  Its the first service I've had done since I bought it last February.

The photo was taken (with my phone) inside the showroom - it was windy and drizzly outside.  I quite liked the reflected lights, and the wind turbines,  It was so bleak though.  (I hear it was very sunny in St Ives!) The horizontal line you can see with a tinge of green is the the A30 embankment and crash barriers.  Cars were whizzing by but I managed to get this shot minus the traffic.

The service had a fixed fee of £180.  Though I'm not sure what 'service' actually means - they told me I needed new wipers but they would cost an extra £40.  I asked if the service included wipers and they said no, part of the service was about 'checking' things.  So they checked the wipers!  I declined to have them fitted there - I know I can get good quality ones on Ebay and use Youtube to show me how to fit them.

I had been told the car would be washed as part of the service.  But when they brought it out it wasn't washed!  I requested that they did it, so they took it away and brought it back 'washed'.  It looked as though they had swished a hose over it - I can see lots of marks on it!  An expensive day with a murky car wash and windscreen wipers 'checked'.  £180!
