New alarm box

We had to have a new outside box for the house alarm as the old one was broken. He said it would glow in the dark which was somewhat of an understatement. It’s very bright. I’ve not been out today as I had 3 appointments for home repairs. I had to deal with them as Norm is self isolating. The alarm man was late as the main road is shut for water main repairs. He did a good job at a reasonable price though. The roofer didn’t turn up and the Virgin man was early. He’s fixed our landline and was very pleasant. What a pity the rest of Virgin isn’t up to the same standard of service. I managed to make a meat pie and an apple tart in between the workmen being here. The house has been well aired with windows open against any Covid viruses.
