Violence against women
As many of us think about Ashling Murphy's family, friends and pupils, the names, lives and deaths of many other women who have been attacked are lost, hidden or ignored.
I had other thoughts about a blip for today but they changed when I cycled past this:
"Remembering Ann Crotchley who near this place on 6th December 1827 was attacked and mortally wounded."
It's been going on for ever. Do we have the will and determination to stop it?
If you are offended by my thumbnail, well... I wonder whether your feelings are stronger than the ones I have when I'm treated as a 'woman' not as a 'person'. I think this is something we all need to talk about and work at so that it is in the past and not the present.
