Knitting project

This Blip is of the knitting in progress. It’s on a round needle starting from the neck. I hadn’t realised when I bought the pattern and it’s a bit of a faff. Also I chose the colours on a whim and I’m not sure I’ll have anything to wear with it. I wish I’d done more summery colours as it is 4ply and a new T shirt to wear under it wouldn’t have cost the earth. (Don’t dare tell me to knit another as I’m finding this very boring!)

Mr C reminded me I’d still not got round to reading the Saturday review part of the Guardian so I settle down with it after lunch. One of the feature articles was “Shouting and Scheming. My journey into the mind of Dominic Cummings” by Cambridge politics professor David Runciman. (Viscount). Amusing, perceptive and hard-hitting - so I loved it. Our current state of political affairs within the Tory party is both depressing and embarrassing. How does Johnston think he needs to be told what was against the Covid rules when it’s he who makes the rules?

This morning #2 daughter told us a lot of pupils in Thomas’s class have Covid so we decided not to have them this weekend. And guess what, on his return from school he tested positive. Now daughter has had to cancel the Burns Supper she was going to and out walk on the beach on Saturday.
