What a lot of potatoes

A day with our friends Al and Liz in Waltham Abbey. A day of good food and conversation as is always the case.

I watched a load of videos with Liz by Charles Dowding on No Dig gardening which was both inspirational and daunting. While we were so engaged Susan and Al were engaged in intricate research about Susan’s family tree getting back to the late 1700s. You won’t see the family on “Who do you think you are” as there doesn’t appear to be anything juicy or salacious in their findings.

We did venture out to a garden nursery in a brief interlude between food. I bought some spuds, onion setts and string. The nursery had the greatest selection of seed potatoes I’ve ever seen. And they were cheap too.
