Tiny Tuesday..Fungus/Lichen?

Not sure what sort of fungus this is growing on some tree trunks, close up it reminds me of tiny acorns cups...thanks to Pinkhairedlady for hosting this month:)
Decided today would be the day I walked to, and around Manvers Lake again...am going to try and do it once a week, my fitness levels are shocking and I really ache but hope that will improve...it's about three miles all together.  Sat and chatted for ages to another lady, new to the area.  Almost arranged to meet again....we'll see!
