Thankfulness

It's museum weekend at the moment, and I went in search of a steam boat which was visiting the harbour and offering trips along the water.

I found it, photographed it, talked to the owners, admired the shiny copper, but this dog, languishing in the sunshine, on a boat called dankbaarheid (=thankfulness), just hit the spot.

I went for a long walk after that, the sunshine came out to play, and I treated myself to a chocolate and hazelnut double-scoop ice-cream. It was delicious.

To my delight, I discovered that a group of magnolia trees, in bud, are just bursting to share their beauty and scent. Soon, very soon...
