Dinner Rush

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

Now we are in the middle of summer, the hedgehogs are well and truly out and about. We saw six all at once out on our deck last night and here's an early evening visitor from today, eager to beat the dinner rush.

It is surprising to me how delightful I still find them. I mean, I am literally looking at one right now and it still raises my spirits. Especially the little ones that would fit into a teacup. They are so tiny compared to the big boofers that are as big as a size eleven boot. 

Hedgehogs aside, my day today has been very quiet. Caro felt a migraine coming on so I did everything and took care of her as best I could. I think we managed to head it off but she is still quiet. 

So I just worked on my end of the couch, had phone conversations with Fazzy* and Shenée** but took it fairly easy.

After all, I have a wife and several hedgehogs to look after.

* We are planning on going to the zoo together. For my Xmas present to them I got a family ticket + 1 adult. Well, hey, I like animals too. 

** No job as yet. Apparently she is enjoying her life as a "lady of leisure" rather too well, as she puts it. I am happy she's enjoying herself. She deserves it.
