Five on the Alert

I left the house this morning at 7: 30 in search of the sunrise and some deer.  

I should have stayed home. The sun didn't get the memo, so she never showed up, and these deer where in my neighbor's yard when I got home.

Five pretty does,
posing by the doors,
hoping to get inside...
to lay on the carpet floors.

After taking several pictures (I wish the sun would have been out), I went out with a bag of carrots and celery, but they scattered before I could empty it.

Their deer names were Dale and Gail,
and all they would show me is tail.
