Three boats

The theme for MonoMonday is "Things in threes". These three boats moored at the dock down Xwaaqw'um came in handy. We went for a good walk down one of the trails, muddy with puddles in places but great to walk there again. A huge tree that was leaning over the trail finally came down. I've included 3 extras of it. In the 3rd extra, you can see where it was situated on one side of the trail, and in the 2nd extra, where it extends on the other side of the trail, amazing that there was plenty of space to walk by. Very shallow roots, and G reckoned that the tree was well over 100 feet long. I wish I could have taken an image of the entire length of it. I'm imagining the crash it made when it came down, and the people who live in the boats in the bay no doubt heard it. Another misty, damp day.
