High and dry

What a belter of a day.
We took the boys and headed off up Ben Ghlass and Ben Lawers which are on our doorstep here and actually probably the easiest munros as you start a third of the way up already.

A stunning day for it but we met several experienced winter munro walkers all of whom had turned back, the high winds made it unsafe to go beyond the first summit. They were right as we got higher it wasn't pleasant. I turned back before S but he wasn't far behind.

This evening was an early supper and then we spent the night in and out of the hot tub admiring the wolf moon and stars and enjoying a nice pinot. Sooooo nice to get a couple days away, being unable to work has forced me into enjoying the time we have, need to do more of this.
