Heading Home
Another bright day - blindingly so this afternoon as we were driving back from Melrose. It was a relief when the sun dipped behind the hills and we could see the road again.
Coming over Lanton Hill, we got very excited, thinking we could see a distant murmuration - but it turned out just to be some wispy, dark clouds in the otherwise clear sky.
Looking in the opposite direct, the moon hung like a huge silver penny set in palest pink shading gently to mauve and then fading blue. A phone shot just didn't do it justice. So my shot faces west towards Hawick and the wilds of Liddesdale.
Back to the knitting - it's plain charcoal grey with little pale nobbles (not very interesting to photograph). Soon I'll be at the armpits, and will have to lay the body aside and knit the sleeves. They have a little bit of pattern above the cuffs. That done, the whole lot comes together for a bold Scandinavian pattern all around the shoulders. I'm looking forward to that bit!
