Pines
Went for a walk in King's Forest again, this time heading towards the north west section. Bright at first, but the sun soon disappearing behind cloud, reappearing later in the walk. There weren't many photo-opportunities but I liked this line of slightly twisted pines, highlighted by the sun as the track led out onto the Berner's Heath. The pines acted as a hedge for the plantation behind and appeared similar to the "pine lines" familiar on the open Breckland landscape.
The extra is a contrasting block of pines - sturdy, straight & tall - which formed a band at the southern edge of the forest & which were lit up by the low, late afternoon sun as we returned to the car.
